The Special Events Committee invites you to join in a walking tour of the Victorian Back Bay on Thursday, September 19th.

A guide from Boston by Foot will share the history of the Back Bay, including learning about the filling of our neighborhood, how it was created and how this work was enabled by the development of new technology in the mid-1800s. Designed to imitate the grand boulevards of Paris, the Back Bay is one of the few areas of Boston where the streets are straight and the sidewalks are wide.

The 90 minute tour begins at 5:30pm in front of Trinity Church and ends in Copley Square. The cost of the tour is $15 and the deadline to sign up is Tuesday, September 17
